New Educators Network formed in collaboration with the Center on Aging, University of Minnesota
If you teach in Gerontology and are interested in meeting colleagues from other colleges and universities across Minnesota who do the same, you are invited to join this network. Contact: Elaine Carlson, ecarlson@mngero.org or Lisa Edstrom, ledstrom@umn.edu
Two in-person organizing meetings have been held, and the next “meetings” will take place virtually, with a possible meeting in the fall in St. Cloud. Some of the initial collaborations to be started in a virtual collaboration site: database of gerontology programs, exchange of course modules and resources, information about internships and practicum opportunities, raising the profile of gerontology professions, and more.
