Chi Ma’iingan is a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe and a dedicated practitioner of the Ojibwe seasonal lifestyle, which he shares with his wife and five children on the Fond du Lac Reservation.

A retired Chief of Police for Fond du Lac, Chi Ma’iingan now channels his passion for culture and craftsmanship into his business, Round Lake Traditions. Specializing in Ojibwe art and apparel, his work includes intricate applique sewing, which is widely recognized across Indian Country. His apparel collections range from formal wear to traditional dance regalia for both men and women. In addition to sewing, his craftsmanship extends to beading, leatherwork, featherwork, and bone and wood carving.

Beyond his artistry, Chi Ma’iingan is an esteemed public speaker, regularly engaging audiences across Indian Country. He also serves as a Master of Ceremonies for various cultural and community events, further contributing to the preservation and celebration of Ojibwe traditions.
