Rachel Albertson
Rachel is the Innovations Manager at Justice North, where she leads projects that strengthen access to justice by improving how legal aid services are delivered to communities across northern Minnesota. She has worked at Justice North for more than 20 years and brings a broad range of experience to her role, including serving as a paralegal, Development and Communications Manager, and Legal Paraprofessional. Drawing on that experience, Rachel focuses on developing practical, innovative solutions that expand access to legal services while also helping colleagues deliver services more effectively and efficiently.
Rachel has been involved with the Legal Kiosk project since its launch in Minnesota, helping expand technology-based access points that connect people in rural communities with legal information and assistance. She regularly leads initiatives that improve service systems, outreach strategies, and technology tools that support both clients and legal aid staff. In addition, Rachel currently serves as Chair of the Minnesota Legal Paraprofessional Standing Committee. She is committed to expanding the role of legal paraprofessionals and advancing creative approaches that help more people access civil legal help. Guided by the belief that equal access to justice is a fundamental human right, Rachel’s work centers on making the law more approachable, responsive, and effective for everyone.
